CAN ANYONE UNDERGO REFRACTIVE SURGERY?
There are several criteria which need to be fulfilled in order to undergo refractive surgery. An age usually above 19 years, with stable refractive error for past 1 year, and absence of other eye diseases are some of the basic prerequisites. Apart from these, your ophthalmologist will run several tests on your eye, before deciding if you’re a suitable candidate for refractive surgery.

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF REFRACTIVE SURGERIES?
The main types of refractive surgeries are cornea based procedures and phakic Intraocular Lens implants. Cornea based procedures are LASIK, SMILE and PRK. These procedures can be standardized, or customized to your eye. Consult your ophthalmologist to know which procedure is most suitable for your eyes.
